The second weekend each month brings Boerne Market Days to the downtown area, where you’ll find the main plaza filled with vendors selling handcrafted art and collectibles.

Many of the can’t-miss events occur during the holiday season, such as the longstanding tradition of Dickens on Main and the Weihnachts Parade, which is always held the first Saturday in December. Don’t miss the Kendall Country Rodeo in the fall and the local chamber’s Wild Game Dinner in early November. 

For the Family:

Taste of Boerne offers a unique park experience where you can gather the family to enjoy food trucks, sand volleyball, and live music. The Cibolo Nature Center is an excellent destination for those who enjoy hiking or exploring. Bring your own tent and camp under the stars at nearby Cascade Caverns. If you prefer underground exploration, the caverns offer guided tours and The Cave Without A Name is also located just outside Boerne. Both are filled with breathtaking formations. For some refreshing water fun, head to Boerne City Lake’s BEE Inflatable Water Park to bounce around on inflatable water trampolines and slides or to watch a movie under the stars. There are also multiple places to rent kayaks for water exploration. Take a horseback ride through the beautiful Texas Hill Country through Stricker Trail Rides or Diamond C Stables and Ranch. The Guadalupe River State Park offers fishing, swimming, hiking, and more.

You’ll find a wide range of home styles in Boerne. There are many historical gems hidden throughout downtown and the surrounding areas. Neighborhoods feature popular styles such as Tuscan, Mediterranean, French Country, Traditional, and Contemporary. Landscape and Climate:

Much like the rest of central and south Texas, heat dominates the area from June to early September. Fortunately for residents, elevations of 900-1200 feet ensure a consistent breeze flows throughout the live oaks dotting the landscape. Cypress-lined Cibolo Creek flows through downtown Boerne and is lined with hiking trails frequented by local ducks and ducklings. The back roads are particularly colorful during the spring months when the wildflowers are blooming.
